Welcome to Goring Church of England (Aided) First School!
Goring CE First School is a happy and successful school that Ofsted judged to be outstanding at its last inspection in February 2012.
This is an exciting time for the school as, from September 2015, we will be an all-through primary school, taking children from Reception to Year 6. This is as a result of changes to the age of transfer that are taking place across the whole of Worthing.
Starting school is an important time and so we aim to provide a happy and secure environment where children can develop independence, grow in confidence and self-esteem and learn to the best of their ability.
We provide a broad and balanced curriculum through which all children develop intellectually, spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically through enjoyable, creative and enriched experiences that excite and motivate them to learn.
As a Church school, we have strong links with St. Mary’s Church. Children learn Christian values that lay the foundation for becoming caring and responsible adults in society.
We welcome families of all faiths and children are encouraged to respect each other; developing tolerance and understanding of the cultural diversity of the world in which we live. Our links with schools in West Africa and India help to achieve this.
We value the partnerships that exist between parents, staff and governors; all of whom contribute to the success of the school.
We hope that you enjoy browsing our website and finding out more about our school.
